Whilst there is no risk of Donald Trump becoming President of the US and thus
leader of the so-called West, it is frightening to imagine him on the international
scene meeting with people like Putin, Merkel, Abe and Xi Jinping or discussing
human rights with the Dalai Lama.
The subtleties of the rhetoric and presidential behaviour of
this candidate make us regret the eloquence of George W. Bush.
